My little superhero

Remember way back when? When the days were long and summers were all too short? When you could imagine being anything (like a firefighter or train engineer), but not having to commit quite yet. That's where childhood exists.

Zeke is my little superhero; today he's my batman. Any self-respecting superhero tends to have a side kick. Robin to Batman; Tonto to Lone Ranger; Chewbacca to Han Solo; Ed McMahon to Johnny Carson, perhaps.

I guess what many of you know is Ali and I are expecting a second child in September. Zeke will finally have a sister. He had been asking for an older sister, but we really couldn't provide one. We are excited yet tinged with a little trepidation. We don't know how to raise a daughter. That said, we didn't really know how to raise a son either. Zeke will be almost exactly five years old when the baby Amagasu arrives. Who knows what the next five years will bring? Such a little man already, forever my baby.
